Peeps, by Scott Westerfeld

Imagine if you could catch a disease from other people; a disease that would give you great night vision, an amazing sense of smell, and incredible strenth...oh yeah, also a big craving for red meat.  In Scott Westerfeld's new novel, the parasite that infects Cal Thomas turns his life around.  Nothing is what it seems in this fascinating book that alternates chapters between Cal's story and real life facts about parasites.  Sounds gross, but this is both an interesting book and a great page-turner!
